Roger trained as an agricultural engineer and welder and for 7 years worked for Malton based R Yates and Son in their blacksmith shop and as a relief low loader driver. He then gained experience working as a HGV and Plant fitter for A C Commercials of Malton for 6 years.
Roger bought his first mini digger in 2001 as a part time project and soon added a tracked shovel and 6 ton excavator. As the work load increased Roger employed his Dad, Geoffrey, who has a life time of experience in the plant trade. Geoff worked for some of the largest plant contractors in Yorkshire including Reynards of Tholthorpe and worked all over the country. In 2006 Roger gave up full time employment to concentrate on expanding the business. All operators are CPCS trained.
From a simple trench to an all-weather gallop and everything in between R G Carr plant Hire have the expertise for the job. We have done shed bases, ditching, ponds, landscaping projects, drainage work, general building site ground works, quarry work, stone and rubble crushing, equestrian gallops and arenas and more recently ground source heat pump systems.
